Saturday's Festivities: For those attending for the first time, festivities begin around noon and go to 5 pm. Please bring a picnic lunch.

We will start with a Bagpiper Call to Welcome. Opening parade of Scottish Terriers to the Little White House for Group Photographs, History of Fala Day, & during the afternoon some Information Booths.

We will be having a Costume parade, Best "Arooo" Contest, Fala look-alike, and a couple of other contests. There will be a rescue parade and this year we hope to have a SOCK RACE for the Scotties.

The closing of the program is the reading of the Rainbow Bridge, followed by the names of the fallen Scots. For anyone wishing to add their beloved Scotty to this list, please send me an email with the information. (last year we had approximately 90 names, so limited it to just the name of the Scotty).

There is also a Memorial Plaque with plates engraved...the cost is $25 per plate. You can add more than one dog to the plate...but we are limited to 3 lines and 25 charactors per line. If you wish to purchase one of these, please email Katie Nixon and I'll send you the information.

The Memorial Plaque is to honor the memory of Fala and all the Scotties, who have passed away. This was begun several years ago and has grown as our beloved Scotties have aged and passed away. While they will live on in our hearts forever, it is comforting to know that there is a tangible remembrance at the Little White House in Warm Springs, Georgia.

THINGS TO DO: Historic Warm Springs is located about 1 hour south of the city of Atlanta, Georgia. Here is the link for more information on Warm Springs. www.warmspringsga.com. The residents open their warm hearts to us every year and delight in hosting all of the Scotties and Scottie fanciers to town for the weekend.

Some local shops even offer discounts.
The new shop in Warm Springs, House of Paws, will be offering a 10% discount that weekend for anyone with the Scotty/Fala day celebration. Stop in and be sure to mention this to get your discount. They are also donating a basket to use as a prize. Also, the owner mentioned that she has Westies. And we all know that Westies go with Scotties, so I imagine she has lots of Scotty items to choose from.

F.D.Roosevelt's Little White House Historic Site:  While you are waiting for Fala Day to begin, make sure you visit this historic Site. The Memorial Plaque of Fallen Scots hangs on the wall in the Museum.
